Josh Levin

The man, the myth, the legend. Josh Levin is one of the most transparent and raw people I have ever met. When I first met him in 2020, I was floored when he walked through his story of how he got to where he is now. I was so inspired by the work he put in to overcome the situation he grew up in, and I love that he always shared about the people who helped him through it.

One of my favorite things about Josh is his love for helping others in the KC community. He is so passionate, enthusiastic, positive, and above all else, an incredibly genuine person.

If you are unfamiliar with Josh, he is the founder of Empowered Electric. I love their about us section, “An electric company except that we’re not.” One of the mottos Josh lives by in his business is "People over Profit.” He does not just say it, but he lives it day in and out for not only his employees but the clients that they serve.

They have worked on some cool projects, including excellent restaurants like Corvino Supper Club, Blip Roasters, Rye, and many other amazing brands in KC!

On top of being the founder of Empowered Electric, he hosts a podcast called Empowered People Podcast.  Some episodes will feature guests sharing their stories and having honest conversations about life and business. Other episodes will feature Josh speaking about his story or even on a specific topic, ranging from dealing with burnout, diets, emotions, life, and everything else.

It is real, raw, emotional, and helpful for anyone looking to be their best self. He also works with the Watkins Mill Department of Youth Services as a mentor and speaker, working with young adults from 12-17 years old.

I cannot wait to see Josh continue to build Empowered Electric and be an absolute force in the Kansas City community.
