Jamie Grayson
Jamie Grayson is the definition of an energizer; I walked away from our lunch meeting, fired up and excited at what he is building here in Kansas City. Jamie’s passion and excitement for his community and helping children are unparalleled. The confidence, drive, vision, and positive attitude Jamie showcases are just a few of the things that make him such a great leader and pillar in KC.
If you are unfamiliar with Jamie, he is currently the Executive Director and Founder at People of All Colors Succeed. POAC is a community partner and pillar for change in Kansas City. They work with schools and businesses to empower individuals to break the cycle of bullying, learn acceptance of others, and encourage courageous conversations. I love their mission; what this organization does for kids in Kansas City will change their lives.
The real-world experience POAC can provide their students will give them on-the-job training and skill development tools to help enhance each student’s Market Value Assets, which can lead to higher-paying jobs.
Jamie is also a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certified trainer through the University of South Florida. In addition, he does speaking engagements for youth leadership, workforce development, and the advancement of courageous conversations for change in schools and businesses. This past Monday, he was on a panel for ASHRAE's KC Chapter to discuss diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
The future is so bright for not only Jamie but POAC. With his drive and vision, I cannot wait to see the number of children he can help in 2022 and beyond.
