Charlie Lowe

Charlie Lowe may have gone to my college’s rival school, which consistently beat us in football when I attended. Still, he is an incredible person and was part of Northwest Missouri State’s 2009 National Championship team (sorry, Isaac Lee Collins).

A few things were evident when I sat down and spoke with Charlie recently. First, this guy loves this city, and he is going to do everything he can to be an advocate for it. Second, his work ethic is off the charts and is truly special. And lastly, he is all about creating lasting relationships and partnerships that are a win-win for everyone. Finally, it was refreshing to hear how focused he is on helping the commercial tenants and the surrounding communities he works with. I always love hearing how passionate people are about this incredible city we call home, especially from someone like Charlie, who puts so much effort into developing KC.

If you are unfamiliar with Charlie, he is one of the Managing Partners of Crossroads Real Estate Group (CREG). Crossroads Real Estate Group is a boutique commercial real estate agency known for exceptional service and expertise in local, regional, and national markets.

They provide tenant representation, landlord representation, development, and restaurant consulting. The number of amazing projects and properties they work with is too long to list but a few recent examples: Fountain Haus in Westport, The Goodwill of Western Missouri and Eastern Kansas, Ruby Jeans in Leawood, Kind Food in KCK, Community Groceries on Troost Ave, Prairiefire in OP, and so many more.

They are also heavily involved in the Midtown and Crossroads areas in KC. What I love most about CREG is that they are very community-focused, giving back 5% of their earnings to the communities they work in. Some organizations are Cultivate KC, KC Pet Project, Kansas City G.I.F.T., and Operation Breakthrough.

On top of being a managing partner at CREG, Charlie is very active in the community. He sits on several boards and works with many organizations, including Black Excellence KC, Troost Market Collective, and Urban Ranger Corps. They are all fantastic organizations focusing on helping minority businesses, providing a space for creators to thrive, and helping at-risk youth.

With his community-first attitude and work ethic, Charlie will be an absolute powerhouse in this city. I cannot wait to see his future and all the fantastic work he will do.
