Travis Wilson

I am so thankful I have gotten the chance to get to know Travis Willson over the last few years. For a select few that know this, I love architecture, so I immediately had to learn more about Travis’s story. He has a passion for his craft, and I love how he focuses on improving the overall community with his designs, not just the structure/building itself.

I am always impressed by his curiosity and ability to truly listen, not just hear what you are talking about. He is a very genuine person who brings excitement and open-mindedness to each interaction, whether for a client or a personal conversation. He is also a wine connoisseur, so drinking great wine and talking architecture with him is always a great time in my book.

If you are unfamiliar with Travis, he is the Principal and Owner of Veritas Architecture + Design. They are a full-service architecture company that focuses on the client first. I love that they are a client-first architecture firm, and because of this approach, it creates an enjoyable design/construction process for all. Veritas provides architectural services, programming, master planning, interior design, furniture selection, construction observation, and code analysis/code footprints for residential, educational, and commercial spaces.

The work that they have done has produced incredible results for homeowners, schools, and businesses. My favorite is a residence they designed in Lansing, KS, called the Foxie Den.

On top of running Veritas, Travis is very active as a subject matter expert in the architecture world. He has spoken at multiple associations, including the AIA (American Institute of Architects), USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council), and the Kansas Association of School Boards. Speaking at these organizations brings valuable insight into sustainable design methods for direct economic gain, understanding the roles of family and economic disparity across districts, and optimizing site selection in relation to existing district buildings and the context of your community. Travis is also very active in the community, working with multiple charities in KC and helping with education at his church.

With all of Travis’s passion, commitment to the community, and love of what he does, I do not doubt that he and Veritas will have a fantastic 2022. I look forward to seeing his continued success!
