People of All Colors Succeed

People of All Colors Succeed (POAC Succeed) is helping students redefine what success looks like and what career paths are best for them. Integrating local businesses and partners within their educational curriculum gives students access to local expertise and knowledge and offers businesses a deep talent pool of qualified team members from day one.

Its mission is to build diverse communities grounded in understanding, acceptance, inclusion, and a future free from biases. They can build healthier communities and a brighter future through understanding, open dialogue, and inclusion.

The Real-World Learning program provides students with Exposure, Access, and Opportunities with the necessary tools to succeed in career fields and seize tomorrow’s opportunities. They are working to build a pipeline of today’s youth for tomorrow’s leaders. The program helps kids learn soft skills, business etiquette, job-seeking skills, financial health skills, industry exposure, and job expectations.

Their nonprofit also works with younger students through their Equity Programs. The program’s six-step strategy engages students in productive dialogue. The six-step program allows students to gain skills in collaborative learning, problem-solving, self-discovery, prevention, empowerment & accountability and has them take the Gold Standard Pledge.

They have been able to serve over 4000 students so far, and they are just getting started. Monday kicked off their POAC Succeed Student Leadership Program with several Charter Schools in KC.
