Jess Winns
Jess Winns was born and raised in Chicago, growing up in the basement apartment of her great-grandmother. She finished college in 2008, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from DePaul University.
A couple of years later, she started Empowering Youth Through Travel (EYTT), a non-profit organization that provided inner-city youth with overseas travel opportunities, taking teens from her own Chicago high school to Costa Rica in 2012. She also generated a strategic partnership with Tracey Friley, founder of the national 2012 Passport Party Project campaign sponsored by Expedia.com, as the Chicago organization to provide ten girls with their first passports.
In 2016, Jess launched Ari Rose, named after her two oldest daughters; Ari Rose is a high-end, hand-crafted body care line made with organic, locally sourced ingredients, created for the clean and conscious consumer. Ari Rose works daily to live up to their mission of building and growing a sustainable company that prioritizes the health and well-being of its loyal customers, along with considering the environmental implications in the process and always seeking to do the least harm. With a focus on conscious production and an understanding of the product life-cycle once it leaves our hands.
In late 2022 Jess launched Winns Media to execute all in-house media to completion. From the publication and distribution of her first book to successful social media campaigns, Winns Media focuses on using online engagement to provide in-person opportunities such as speaking engagements, lead generation, and features.
Jess’s debut book, “Beneath The Skin,” shares the culmination of her life's challenges and personal development. Winns identifies core lessons behind each milestone. She bundles these insights into shareable knowledge that can be easily applied to achieve a healthier mindset and move confidently in your life's purpose.
Jess is also a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Functional Nutrition Counselor, Transformational Leadership Coach, and Public Speaker. Her speaking topics focus on Personal Development, Transformational Leadership, Identifying Limiting Beliefs and Blind Spots, Intrinsic Motivation, and Leadership Through Authenticity.
