During the COVID lockdown, today's feature, JAMES THOMAS, built the concept Brain Freeze Daiquiri.
Given his travels throughout the southern United States, he always stopped into his favorite daiquiri shops. These shops are filled with fun, laughter, and a vibe that brings happiness. He saw that KC did not have anything like this and wanted to bring that atmosphere and fun to our fantastic city.
Officially launched in the summer of 2022, Brain Freeze is a mobile daiquiri bar that caters to various events across the metro and sells frozen daiquiris, margaritas, sangrias, and wine slushies! Currently, their mobile units can service the entire metro, from Topeka to Lee Summit.
They can set up events indoors or outdoors; whether it’s a small occasion of 20 people or a large event with 10,000, they can deliver the freeze to any event!
Brain Freeze’s menu has 25 flavors that will cater to your taste buds if you search for that Cajun feeling. They also carry virgin options so kids and those who do not drink can enjoy the same flavors as the rest of the party.
For those colder months, James recently introduced hot drinks such as hot apple cider and hot chocolate that can appeal to kids and adults with the spiked versions of the drinks. Furthermore, he has added beer and seltzers to the menu for those who may not like sweeter drinks.
James was a The Porter House KC Alchemy Sandbox winner in June of 2023 and has a massive boost in growth in 2023, having been booked almost every weekend in 2023.
A KC native, James finished college in 2009 at the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a degree in Economics.
James also has had a successful career while building up his business, working in the logistics industry for the last fourteen years, the previous six being with CGB Agforce Transport Services.
With all the momentum that James is carrying in 2024, I know this will be his best year yet. His work ethic, resiliency, and creativity are just a few characteristics that will lead to his success in 24 and beyond.
