Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas
Led by President and CEO Funmi Popoola and his fantastic team of workers across 17 locations, Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas (MOKAN Goodwill) mission is focused on empowering people to discover their potential and adapt for the future through the power of work.
They have a vision of building sustainable and prosperous communities through that mission.
Since its founding in 1894, MOKAN Goodwill has been dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment obtain jobs, essential skills training, and personal development opportunities.
While the Goodwill name brings to mind its iconic thrift stores, its mission reaches beyond clothes and household wares. When that gently used shirt or pre-loved planter gets sold, around 88 cents of every dollar raised goes towards funding career advancement programs and services to help change lives.
All Goodwill programs and services are available to our clients at no cost and are provided directly to the client.
These programs include Bridge to Technology, Essential Skills Training, AbilityOne, Reentry Services, Employment Services, Digital Skills Training, and more.
As they say, Good goes further.™. You might be surprised at how far it goes when you do a little good.
