Emerson Hodes

When I think about young leaders in KC, the first person that always comes to mind is Emerson Hodes.

One of the main reasons is Emerson’s focus on building others up and connecting people all over the city and across the US. He is a very genuine and hardworking person with a passion for our great city. He saw a gap in networking for young professionals early in their careers, and that is when The Loop KC was born.

The Loop KC is a networking group focused on bringing together similar yet unique minds to create genuine friendships and ignite the next generation of business leaders in Kansas City. They currently have over 120 members. One city was not enough, though and in 2021, The Loop expanded to Des Moines, IA, and Scottsdale, AZ.

Emerson has even bigger plans for the group this year, as they will add two more cities, Omaha, NE, and Denver, CO.

My favorite part of the group is their dedication to philanthropic work. The group volunteers multiple times yearly at local charities and has several nonprofit partnerships in KC.

The Loop KC’s philanthropic attitude comes directly from Emerson, as he sits on several non-profit boards, including Bags of Fun - Gabby Krause Foundation, KC CAN! Kansas City Children’s Assistance Network, and is a mentor to the Go Further Foundation.

If starting The Loop was not enough, Emerson is currently working with Chief of Staff KC as a recruiter and has a few side hustles in the PPE space, blockchain/crypto, and AI.

The Loop KC and Emerson are doing big things here in KC and beyond. I cannot wait to watch him continue to crush it and build up young leaders nationwide!
