Chelsea Laub

It is always great to meet other KC transplants who have adopted KC as their home and work to improve our city.

Chelsea Laub came to KC after graduating from The University of Iowa in 2012.

Starting in the non-profit world at the YMCA of Greater Kansas City’s Challenger Program, Chelsea shifted into financial planning in 2013. She spent two years supporting another advisor before launching her own financial planning company in the fall of 2015.

Chelsea spent over six years running her firm before realizing she needed to follow her passion and help people differently.

In September of 2021, Chelsea became an Accredited Enneagram Practitioner, where she helps individuals, couples, and teams discover what’s working and what’s not by bringing awareness of self and others.

In addition to being an Enneagram Coach, she recently joined Hello Big Idea as their Director of Sales. Hello Big Idea’s goal is to help bring the big ideas of their clients to life. They do this through authentic branding, unique and user-friendly web design, and knock-your-socks-off social media marketing.

They have worked with local and national clients, including The Mixx, Caffeteria, blooom, Geo Organic Juices, and many more.

Over the years, Chelsea’s been recognized for her outstanding work, including 20 in their Twenties by Ingram's Magazine, a 2018 Most Wanted Honoree by Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City, 2020 Young ATHENA Award through the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.

She is also incredibly philanthropic and is involved with many organizations throughout KC. She serves as treasurer on the board of the Big Shifts Foundation. In addition, she has worked with SocialHeart & KCYP as an EVP and head of board recruitment, as a volunteer for PREP-KC and Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City, and she co-founded Underground Social KC. Most recently, she was selected into the Centurions Leadership Program and will be a graduate in 2024.

Chelsea’s passion, drive for excellence, servant leadership mindset, and philanthropic focus are just a few of the things that will help her continue to be a force in KC for years to come. I look forward to watching what she and the team build at Hello Big Idea and supporting any way I can.
