Angela Kennedy gets things done.
Taking big, messy, game-changing ideas and guiding them to life is the throughline of her career. From managing national brand development research to shaping strategy for the largest talent attraction initiative in the KC region, Angela has honed the ability to translate data into actionable plans.
After years of thriving in the community development space, Angela was inspired to focus her talents on impacting positive employee experiences (EX).

Founded in January 2023, AoK Consulting applies strategic communications and talent management expertise to maximize employee satisfaction - increasing well-being, productivity, and profits.
AoK Consulting focuses on three services: 1) Corporate Consulting, 2) 1-on-1 Coaching, and 3) Speaking.
AoK Consulting works alongside teams to identify and unlock barriers to successful EX, shape strategies, and implement change.
In 1-on-1 coaching, Angela helps clients manage challenging workplace relationships and reach win-win solutions.
Angela’s on-stage energy is infectious as she connects the dots between impactful data and real-world experiences, speaking on optimizing EX.

Before opening her own company, Angela worked with the Kansas City Area Development Council for almost ten years, holding many positions. She started her career there as a Communications Specialist, managing social media strategy and media outreach.
Then, she was quickly promoted to a managerial level in Digital Communications, developing UX and content to overhaul five websites and overall stakeholder communications. She was soon identified as a critical player in building relationships and maximizing client experience, evolving into the Director of Investor Relations and TeamKC: Life+Talent.
Angela remains dedicated to playing an active role in the KC community, serving the Board of Directors for Keystone Innovation District and the Centurions Leadership Program Alumni Board, and joining TEDxKC’s curation team. She greatly enjoys volunteering as a Reading Mentor for Lead to Read KC and actively participates in MINDDRIVE KC’s first-ever Fabrication Games.
