Alejandra Villalobos-McAnderson

Villalobos means “Village of the Wolf,” It’s also the family name of our feature today, Alejandra Villalobos-McAnderson (Alex), and it is very fitting with her work today.

Alex moved to the United States when she was six from Mexico, growing up in Simi Valley, California, before moving to Kansas in 2004 to attend Baker University on a soccer scholarship.

After attending Baker, Alex stayed in Kansas, working in various roles and industries, including early education, finance, nonprofit director, sales, and client services.

In late 2019, Alex launched her own company, Villalobos Vitality.

Villalobos Vitality was born of the idea that everyone’s inner Wolf should be cherished, nurtured, and unleashed with love and light. It’s the continuation of a powerful, purposeful life through the connection of mind, body & spirit.

This is possible with the healing power of Reiki. Combining energy healing and other alternative health and healing services, Alex helps adults, children, and workplace groups find the energy of light and love surrounding them and then put it to use in their lives.

Her healing energy assists the body's natural healing processes and helps her clients achieve better emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. She serves from a stance of empathy and understanding, offering healing energy while providing a safe, supportive environment.

She also imparts stress management techniques designed to inspire the self while pushing through limiting beliefs to encourage healthy personal and professional development. Her techniques also elevate wellness in the workplace - and she often assists businesses with the positive alignment of their workspace energy.

Alex provides a sacred space to her clients to help them achieve alignment and tap into their higher purpose in life.

If you know Alex, it is no surprise how involved she and her company are in giving back to the community. She sits on the Rock Chalk Roundball Classic, Small Changes Big Shifts board, Latino Arts Foundation, and Eye of An Immigrant.

At the same time, she is partnering with organizations like Awesome Ambitions, Band of Angels, and KCMO Angels.

Alex is supportive and warm and will go above and beyond for anyone who needs it. Her dedication to the community will create a ripple effect felt for a long time, and I am excited to watch her continue to change lives.

Alex’s immigration story is incredibly powerful and something she is still dealing with to date; I would highly recommend reading the entire story from her perspective on the Jaws of Justice radio show.
