Noorah Nachbor said something that stuck with me the other day: “I try to treat everyone I meet with kindness because you never know what they are going through.”
That attitude and approach to her relationships is precisely why she has succeeded.
Noorah's journey from Iraq to a small college town in Kansas in the 1980s was a testament to her resilience. Balancing the adaptation to a new culture with a deep connection to her Middle Eastern roots was a struggle at times. Yet, this very struggle has shaped Noorah into the compassionate and successful professional she is today.
After Noorah graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and International Business, she has been a successful professional in the Talent Acquisition industry.
Noorah's career in Talent Acquisition has been a platform for her to channel her passion for building and nurturing relationships. In the face of today’s competitive talent market, she remains driven to unearth that rare gem of a candidate.
Her excitement is palpable when crafting strategies and executing candidate/employee experiences in high-performance, fun, people-centric environments. Noorah's true interest lies in not just finding people jobs but in shaping their careers.
Currently, Noorah is a Senior Recruiter at CB Partners, LLC. She specializes in accounting, marketing, organizational support (HR, Admin), and supply chain and logistics across all industries. Noorah is well-versed in full-cycle, agency, and corporate recruiting, and she takes pride in bringing diversity, creativity, and fresh recruiting techniques to an organization.
Anyone who knows Noorah would not be surprised to learn she is actively involved in giving back to the community and supporting many nonprofit organizations in the metro.
She serves on the Board of Eye of An Immigrant, a nonprofit that helps immigrant families overcome cultural barriers and achieve their American dream. She also supports the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement, Newhouse, and many other orgs. She is also a member of Top Gun Kansas City.
Noorah brings passion, dedication, empathy, humility, compassion, unity, and inclusion to everything she does, and I know Kansas City is a better place for it. Noorah will continue to be an impactful leader, and I cannot wait to see what she does next.
