Kiffany Bosserman
A middle school teacher in Las Vegas turned event planner/marketer in KC and now an entrepreneur.
This is the journey of Kiffany Bosserman. When she got to KC, she started doing event planning and marketing for a company in Leawood. While planning an event, she wanted to hire a cotton candy vendor but realized what she wanted did not exist. At that point, she thought, why not me, Cottontale KC was born to create memorable experiences for others.
Cottontale KC is an all-natural cotton candy event service. They specialize in large corporate events, private parties, and VIP concessions. Their flavors range from maple bacon, pink lemonade, and root beer to holiday specials like egg nog or gingerbread.
Kiffany’s love for cotton candy comes from the nostalgic memories it can create, whether it reminds you of being at a county fair, ballgame, or theme park.
With Cottontale KC booming, Kiffany and her husband Steve thought about creating a storefront to showcase their cotton candy and also wanted to have other local treats. From this vision, Cookies and Creamery were launched. This place is heaven for anyone who loves ice cream, cookies, cotton candy, popcorn, and other local treats. You must try their specialty ice cream sandwich with either Belfonte or Sylas and Maddy’s Ice cream and Mary’s Mountain Cookies.
In getting to know Kiffany, I immediately sensed how genuine and authentic she was. Throughout her entrepreneurial journey, that teacher mindset has not turned off. She loves mentoring other founders and working with organizations dedicated to helping new entrepreneurs.
Kiffany’s joy in serving others and creating authentic relationships in the community will help her continue to thrive. The future is bright, and I cannot wait to see what comes next for her.
