Jannae Gammage
Jannae Gammage developed her entrepreneurial grind at a very young age, even starting a business when she was fourteen.
After high school, Jannae attended the Indiana Institute of Technology where she played basketball and joined the military after college. Jannae spent nine years in the Army as an Intelligence Analyst.
In 2015 Jannae launched a business while still in the Army and then exited the Army to run her business full-time, which she sold in 2019.
After the sale, she continued to work with business owners in the Maryland area and had a revelation of her love of marketing.
This revelation led her to Kansas City and the co-founding of her second business, The Market Base.
The Market Base is an all-in-one marketing platform that eliminates small businesses having to hire their on-staff marketer and gives them access to top talent in such areas as SEO and social media management while creating and deploying marketing campaigns.
After a successful run at The Market Base, she exited in December 2021 and is working on changing the game for startups and investors with her new platform, Foresight, launched through her company Base Ventures, Inc with Co-founder Charlotte Clark.
Foresight is a risk-mitigation and strategy platform that uses artificial intelligence and deep learning to provide instant investability scores for business ideas and models.
Its “Foresight Score” is a standardized measure of investability that accounts for financial projections, the startup stage, and personal data on the founder.
Foresight is currently in the research and development stage and has plans to launch in early 2023. Jannae and Charlotte’s goal with Foresight is to change the entrepreneurial and investing environment.
While Foresight initially focuses on fundraising and capital, the long-term goal is for Foresight to be an ecosystem collaboration platform that founders, investors, and ecosystem builders use to network and stay connected.
On top of the work she is doing at Foresight, Jannae is a Fellow with Pipeline Entrepreneurial Fellowship, serves on the leadership board for Out in Tech, is the Marketing Director for InnovateHER KC, a business mentor for The Porter House KC, and coaches and develop resources for Black Fitness Movement.
I am so happy that Jannae decided to make KC her home and is dedicated to not only making an impact in the startup scene but also in the community. I look forward to watching her grow and build Foresight, along with Charlotte.
