Dr. Risa Stein, PhD, MA

After a long and incredible academic career, Dr. Risa Stein, PhD, MA, is shifting her focus to the business world.

It is not often that an entrepreneur can create a company or product that does not already exist in the marketplace, but that is the case with Dr. Stein’s company SeeInMe. During our conversation a few weeks back, it was evident that she is incredibly driven, passionate, and empathetic. 

SeeInMe enables family members to create a ‘Personality Profile’ for their communication-challenged loved ones ranging from infants to those with special needs to elderly victims of stroke and dementia. The technology promotes inclusivity by ensuring anyone who interacts with a vulnerable person, despite barriers, can create a genuine connection with them.

The driving force behind her starting SeeInMe is her passion for helping the most vulnerable be seen as remarkable and unique individuals.  After hearing her speak about her company and learning more about it, I am so excited to watch her change the lives of many people; SeeInMe is genuinely a game-changer.

Before starting her entrepreneurial journey, Dr. Stein spent over 20 years as a professor of Psychology at Rockhurst University. Dr. Stein holds a Ph.D. in clinical child and health psychology and an MA in Organization Leadership. She has consulted with universities, nonprofits, corporations, and think tanks on design thinking and innovation. Back in 2019, she also wrote a personal development self-guided therapy workbook called “Best Damn Life Workbook.”

I am a massive fan of what Dr. Stein is building with SeeInMe and cannot wait to watch its growth.
