Dr. Nicole Price

Dr. Nicole Price was initially trained as an engineer and worked at Hallmark Cards for years, but she soon found her true calling in leadership development. Her leadership accomplishments sparked that transition to learning and development, where she was responsible for creating, implementing, and consulting on inclusive leadership development initiatives.

Today, she is the founder and CEO of Lively Paradox, which believes that leadership is profoundly personal. This belief fuels their mission to empower everyone to become exceptional leaders, not just in their careers but in every aspect of their lives.

Her primary industry clients are K-12 school districts and school leaders in the United States. Her field of expertise is leveraging diversity as a competitive advantage, from employee recruitment to retirement.

Dr. Price is also a very sought-after keynote speaker, specializing in reigniting the fire within educational leaders. Too often, challenging circumstances can dampen the spirit and dedication these leaders initially brought to their roles.

Her mission is to rekindle that enthusiasm, energizing them to embrace the mission of education and drive positive change within their school districts.

Over the years, Dr. Price has authored eight books. Her most recent book “Spark the Heart: Engineering Empathy in Your Organization” where she makes the case for prioritizing empathy in the workplace, especially as a leadership skill that can be learned, built, and developed.

In addition to running Lively Paradox, being a keynote speaker and author, Dr. Price is also the Human Rights Commissioner for the City of Kansas City, MO, a Master Facilitator for InsideOut Development, and on the Faculty at Bloch Executive Education at UMKC.

She is also highly active in the community, serving on the AdHoc Group Against Crime, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) board, and previously serving as President of The Links, Incorporated.

Dr. Nicole holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina
Agricultural and Technical State University, a Masters in Education from Park University, an Educational Doctorate in Leadership from Capella University, and postdoctoral studies at Stanford University.

It is impossible to summarize all of Dr. Price's fantastic work over the years, but I know she will continue to be a driving force in her field and the community.
